An interesting update about LOVE CONTRACT

From being a reader who gets possessive about certain fictional characters to see someone be possessive of the fictional characters I created, I think I’ve come a full circle.

When I wrote Love Contract I had a clear understanding of my characters and knew how they will be recieved by different sect of audience. But I never expected a clear divide and aggressive love for the characters , almost pitching the hero and heroine against each other. Well that has happened here.

Surprisingly readers have possessively taken onto either Tara or Arush. Some liked seeing a strong female lead who knew when to stand her ground even in love & some felt Arush’s love translated more for them.

While some felt Arush was a jerk and they didnt understand why Tara was smitten by him and was quite relieved when she chose to stand for herself at breaking point, some others felt Arush was clear in his stance and was giving in his own way despite his prejudices and was ready to overlook the ideologies that made him, for love, he became the perfect lover in the equation for them.

Every reader who reached out to me or took time out to leave a review has a clear side to pick. They have dissected the characters and chosen a team for themselves. It has left me surprised but also thrilled to see readers invested in the story and characters so much. Thank you guys.

For now the ratio stands equal between Arush & Tara. Let’s see who wins or if it will be tie.

Prologue of Love Contract is here

“You want me in your life or not, Tara,” Arush’s voice held an ultimatum.

Staring into his jet-black eyes, Tara steeled her determination.

“Are you prepared to be with me unconditionally?” Tara was as unyielding.

“You do not love me enough to choose me,” Arush gave a hollow laugh with pain etched on his face.

Tara’s answer was a distressed whisper, “That’s the issue Arush, I don’t want to choose.”

Arush bobbed his head. His ego was wounded, and he did not attempt to conceal it.

Tara felt her eyes glazing but maintained a steady voice when she spoke, “Arush, I’ll be waiting for you. I am confident that one day you will perceive things from my perspective.”

He caught her hand as she turned to leave the room.

“What if that day never comes,” he voiced hoarsely.

She made a U-turn and crushed her lips into his. Before her lips even met his, he opened his mouth, taking hers into it and probing his tongue at the same time. Tara stepped up to his powerful form and ran her fingertips through his thick beard as he sank into her with a passionate kiss. As he ravaged her mouth, his fingers sank into her hair and cradled her head. After seating her on the rail of the balcony, he drew her thighs about him and pressed into her heat. As she inhaled, he engulfed her face with open-mouthed kisses. He hissed against Tara’s neck as she grasped his butt.

“I’ll go mad without you, Tara,” he implored.

“Then end this madness, Arush” she cried out.

The first rays of dawn were breaking through. As the sky above them shifted colors, Tara and Arush stood there, together but torn.

Tell me, how is it? Just 3 more days to go.
