From being a reader who gets possessive about certain fictional characters to see someone be possessive of the fictional characters I created, I think I’ve come a full circle.
When I wrote Love Contract I had a clear understanding of my characters and knew how they will be recieved by different sect of audience. But I never expected a clear divide and aggressive love for the characters , almost pitching the hero and heroine against each other. Well that has happened here.
Surprisingly readers have possessively taken onto either Tara or Arush. Some liked seeing a strong female lead who knew when to stand her ground even in love & some felt Arush’s love translated more for them.
While some felt Arush was a jerk and they didnt understand why Tara was smitten by him and was quite relieved when she chose to stand for herself at breaking point, some others felt Arush was clear in his stance and was giving in his own way despite his prejudices and was ready to overlook the ideologies that made him, for love, he became the perfect lover in the equation for them.
Every reader who reached out to me or took time out to leave a review has a clear side to pick. They have dissected the characters and chosen a team for themselves. It has left me surprised but also thrilled to see readers invested in the story and characters so much. Thank you guys.
For now the ratio stands equal between Arush & Tara. Let’s see who wins or if it will be tie.
