PROLOGUE
Sarga was in her caravan, fully ready for the shot but mentally scattered in pieces. Grace was on constant phone calls as she tried to buy time to form a strategy to deal with this PR nightmare. That’s how Karthik found them when he walked into the caravan after a knock.
“Are you willing to shoot today?” Karthik asked gently.
“Yup.” Sarga nodded with a straight face. “The show must go on.”
Karthik acknowledged her words with a deep sigh.
“Everyone has their truth, Sarga,” he began slowly. “If you choose to stick to yours, it becomes easier to navigate life.”
Sarga stood straight and folding her arms, listened to Karthik. Grace cut the call to listen to him too.
“He is playing nasty and I know your PR is still holding back the fight because you want to protect me, protect us.” Sarga did not refute it and Karthik continued, “Clapback in a way that it resonates loud and do it by owning your shit and throwing away the rest. The only baby here is your child, treat the adults as adults.” He accentuated his point with his pitch.
Sarga felt relieved of a burden at Karthik’s words.
“As far as I’m concerned, I know how to deal with my bullshit. So just fire away and we will be watching and cheering for you,” he said, his tone filled with understanding.
Sarga threw him a watery smile before she turned to Grace. “Fix an appointment with my lawyer; I have a strategy ready. Let’s work it out ASAP,” she said, her tone commanding.
“Right away,” Grace said with a grin before getting down to the task.
