From my plan of one book every year to having four in one year, I have changed, completely. 2022 has been a monumental year in my writing career. The books I released this year has been important milestones that I’ll always cherish.
In Feb, 2022 – I released Burning Hearts, my longest and personal favourite novel. It is a story that I’ve written and re written over the last decade. The creation of each scene in it has given me immense joy and confidence to write more, to trust myself more.
In July, 2022 – I released You Are My Person, my first attempt at serious fiction. It is the kind of book I would pick to read, with dashes of reality and talking about women and their lives and most importantly about friendship. Given a chance, this is the genre I’d choose for myself.
In August, 2022 – Along with Maya, I released It Was Always You, a book that spoke of our innocence and dreamy nature. It is a book we wrote from long ago and one that holds a lot of treasured memories. It was a step of celebrating our innocence, for us.
In October,2022 – I did the unthinkable. I actually began a series, I wrote a book Love Contract, the type I’ve loved to read on Kindle but never thought I had it in me to attempt. And very unexpectedly, it turned out to be my most successful book. I’m glad this turning point happened in my writing career.
All in all, 2022 has been an important milestone in my writing journey. I’ll always cherish this year for making me feel relevant, for giving me a purpose, some small achievements, for making me feel good things. Thank you, 2022.
